How to cut the cost of FTIR analysis with robust prediction models

4. dic, 2018
Two minute tech video interview explains new possibilities to reduce the cost of maintaining prediction models for dairy analysis equipment.
Today, the use of FT-IR technology is widely accepted as the preferred technology to do liquid milk analysis as it provides the most accurate results. The quality of data from any FT-IR instrument however is dependent on the prediction models used on the instrument. Maintaining and monitoring the performance of these prediction models is done using wet chemistry reference testing which can prove a time-consuming and costly process.

In this light, the use of robust FT-IR prediction models is a logical step to key to rationalizing the use of wet chemistry testing without compromising accuracy of test results. See our two minute technical insight for more background on the advantages of robust prediction models.

More about dairy analysis with FTIR analytical technology
Ensuring safe and high quality products is key to any dairy today. The number one concern is to ensure that the right analytical capabilities and processes are in place to detect any deviation during processing. Rapid analysis with FTIR has become an indispensable tool, for inspiration, see this video case story from a dairy making good use of the FOSS MilkoScan FT1 analyser.
