At FOSS, we have many new exciting projects in the pipeline that require world-class software solutions. That is why we are establishing a new Software Development Department at our subsidiary Soft Flow, in Pécs Hungary.
The R&D software department at our HQ near Copenhagen consists of more than 100 software developers and makes up for about 1/3 of the whole R&D organization at FOSS. You will have the unique opportunity to be part of the first software team in our new software department and ensure we have a successful establishment of our software department at Soft Flow. The new department will work closely together with HQ on interdisciplinary projects where we integrate advanced technologies and software into our products.
The SW department is responsible for developing software for our analytical instruments, and therefore has a significant contribution to the success of our new product launches.
Your primary tasks will involve:
- Collaborate with Product Owners and domain specialists to specify the requirements
- Design, implement, test and document the solution
- Deliver quality software, ensure proper test coverage, optimize performance
- Visualize your work in a Scrum context to be able to collaborate closely with HQ
For this we will provide proper training and introduction to our platforms, how instruments are developed and insight into the specific instrument requirements and specifications. We further expect you to work in an open and transparent fashion in a cross-boarding collaboration between the new team in Pecs and software development at HQ. Our solutions are implemented using different programming languages ranging from Angular web UI over C# using .Net core 3.0 for backend and business logic to C++ in our embedded SW. Interest and ability to work in more than one of the areas above is a surplus.
Your daily work will be at Soft Flow in Pécs, Hungary. However, it is expected that you will have 5-10 travelling days per year to Denmark.
- BSc or MSc in software engineering or computer science
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with React, npm, gulp
- Knowledge of Agile development and Scrum
- Experience working in both Windows and Linux environment
- Tried working in a visual task management context like TFS DevOps or Jira
- Ability to understand complex solutions, as our instruments and solutions are high tech and quite complex
- Ability to help teams analyze and investigate issues, explore solutions, learn and reflect
- Good communication skills, team-player attitude
- A good command of English and Hungarian (official project language is English)
