This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead market growth and foster strong customer relationships across the AU/NZ region while collaborating with global teams and driving strategic business initiatives. The Industry Sales Manager will be based in a home office, with travel required up to 50%, and report to the Team Leader – North.
You will engage directly with customers, represent FOSS at key industry events, and contribute to advancing innovation in sustainable agriculture. The ideal candidate is based in New South Wales, however, we are open to considering other locations within Australia.
Take charge of market growth & customer success - collaborate globally, travel, and make an impact across the AU/NZ region
You will:
- Drive sales performance within the assigned market segment in collaboration with the AU/NZ Regional Sales Manager to create and execute a business plan that meets segment budget targets.
- Build strong customer relationships, travel up to 50% of the time, and work with cross-functional teams (including Service, Inside Sales, Marketing, Application etc) to drive market growth and customer satisfaction.
- Keep precise records of prospects, sales activities, proposals, quotations, and pricing within the CRM system.
- Partner with head office Business Unit and global functions such as Marketing, Technical, R&D, and Key Accounts to ensure strategic alignment with the global business plan. Lead market intelligence efforts and represent the company at tradeshows and industry conferences as necessary

Your profile
Sales experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates currently serving as operations managers/ supervisors, or Lab/QA managers & supervisors who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and transition into a commercial role are encouraged to apply. We seek energetic and self-motivated professionals and offer a comprehensive onboarding and training program to support the successful candidate.
We hope to see:
- Experience in the grain or milling industry, particularly in processing or quality control; alternatively, a scientific or laboratory background with knowledge of analytical instruments, statistics, and chemistry.
- Degree in Science, Business, or Engineering, OR at least 2 years’ related industry experience.
- Proven success in capital equipment sales and expertise in value-based/solution selling are highly valued.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative spirit, adaptability, and proficient planning skills, coupled with a results-oriented and customer-focused approach.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS software suite, experience using CRM/ Salesforce
- Valid AU/NZ driver’s license and work permit required. Must enjoy customer engagement and be willing to travel up to 50%.
