About the Role
Each year, approximately 3–5 students complete their university internship at Soft Flow, and we regularly have 1–3 trainees.
University internship
If you are interested in completing your university internship with us, please first check whether your university already has a valid cooperation agreement with Soft Flow. If it is not in place yet, this can usually be arranged easily by initiating the contracting process through your institution. The duration of the internship depends on the requirements of your degree program, so we encourage you to review these before applying. As we are committed to providing meaningful learning experiences, we offer a limited number of internship positions each year. This ensures that every intern receives personal attention and can make the most of their time with us.
Trainee program
Our trainee program is designed for students seeking longer-term professional development opportunities and is best suited to those who can join us for at least 1 year. The program requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to help balance your work with your studies. Trainee positions may become available across all departments but given our company’s focus most are in biotechnology related areas. Many of our former trainees continue their careers with us after graduation, when suitable vacancies are available.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams spanning software and hardware engineering, biotechnology, and data science, you'll put your academic knowledge into practice on real product challenges and build confidence in your professional skills. Talent development is central to our program, so we actively support your academic goals, including your thesis work.
