At Åben brewery in Copenhagen, Head Brewer Jack Delaney, has exchanged his former spreadsheet with a BeerFoss™ FT Go, speeding up the entire brewing process and saving money along the way.
Using the BeerFoss, Jack can analyze a wide range of parameters in wort, fermenting beer, and finished beer, without any sample preparation.
“The more time you can spend on anything in brewing is great because you get more focused, you are getting better results that gives you the ability to then influence what you are going to do next. If you see something that is out of the norm, you can fix it, and if you see something that is ahead of time, you can move to the next step faster” he says and continues: “If we can get to the stage of final gravity sooner, it means that our beers can come out of tank quicker. Instead of 4 weeks we can move to (get it out of the tank) 2,5 weeks and over a year we can maybe get 6-8 more brews out of a tank, which is all money in the bank.”
