Join our Product Compliance team at FOSS Innovation Center and help shape digital product compliance, cyber resilience and regulatory affairs in a global, innovation-driven company.

What you will be doing

We are looking for a highly analytical, structured, and pragmatic specialist who can translate digital regulatory requirements into concrete product requirements and practical actions for our software, connected products, and digital platforms. Those requirements can stem from legislation, authority requirements, standards and market expectations, and they differ across our prioritized markets — the EU Cyber Resilience Act is one example among several, alongside the AI Act, the Data Act and comparable frameworks outside the EU. The Product Compliance Team makes legislation actionable, so that FOSS products gain and keep legal market access in our prioritized markets. That is the mandate you will work within: you interpret legislation, translate it into product requirements, and support the value chain in implementing them. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Act as Subject Matter Expert within product cybersecurity, cyber resilience and digital regulatory requirements with a global perspective — including the Cyber Resilience Act and related product legislation, and adjacent digital legislation such as the AI Act and the Data Act where product requirements are affected
• Identify, monitor, interpret and assess applicable regulatory and legislative requirements relating to cybersecurity, cyber resilience, software, connected products, digital technologies, data and, where relevant, AI across our prioritized markets — and translate them into clear, actionable product compliance requirements for the value chain
• Monitor global developments in product cybersecurity and cyber resilience regulation, and maintain a consistent and scalable approach to digital and cyber compliance across our prioritized markets, including country-specific market-access requirements
• Own the product compliance framework for digital and cyber requirements — the governance model, processes, instructions, controls and tools — maintain and improve it in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, and build compliance knowledge across the organization through training and knowledge sharing
• Support the business in assessing products, processes and suppliers against applicable requirements, identify regulatory gaps and risks, and maintain technical files, declarations and traceability — working closely with Research & Development, Product Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Security, Product Management, Quality and Legal
• Support development projects and product lifecycle management with compliance input, risk assessments and guidance, including the compliance input to our Business Innovation, New Product Development and Project Engineering gates
• Support internal and external audits to closure, assess the compliance impact of product, process and regulatory changes, and support the resolution of non-conformances and field issues

You are expected to work on-site at the FOSS Innovation Center in Hillerød where many of the key stakeholders within R&D, Product Management, and Operations are also based. Additionally ad hoc, together with stakeholders at our new production site in Frederikssund.

What we hope to see you bring

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related technical discipline
• Strong knowledge and experience within product cybersecurity, cyber resilience and digital regulatory requirements with a global perspective — the Cyber Resilience Act and related product legislation being one example among several
• Strong technical understanding of software connected products, digital platforms, data and the hardware our software runs in, and solid experience of how product lifecycle, risk management, vulnerability handling and secure-by-design requirements are set, governed and documented. This is a compliance and governance role — documented experience applying these regulations and standards in practice weighs more than a certificate
• Experience with compliance assessment, evidence and global market access — assessing whether requirements are met, whether they are documented well enough to hold up to an auditor, a notified body or a customer, and handling requirements, approvals and documentation that differ from country to country
• Confident in making compliance judgments where requirements are not black-and-white, balancing regulatory requirements with business needs — and able to influence R&D, Product Engineering and Product Management without owning the product yourself, getting requirements adopted through expertise, evidence and trust rather than authority
• Professional proficiency in Danish and English, spoken as well as written

Your new team

You will join the Product Compliance team — with you, we are five specialists, each with our own areas of responsibility and accountability. The team is anchored in the Product Compliance & Quality Assurance department within the SVP area of IT, Finance & Compliance.
