About the role

FOSS IQX is a strategic initiative within FOSS Analytical, focused on developing scalable, digital-first commercial models and launching new solutions to market. As we grow, we are looking for a Student Assistant who can help us work smarter by improving how we operate day to day and making the most of the tools available to us, including AI assistants, automation platforms, and modern productivity software.

As a Student Assistant in FOSS IQX, you will partner with the team to identify friction in our workflows, design better ways of working, and roll out practical solutions that save time and improve quality. In this position you will play a visible role in shaping how a fast-moving commercial team operates and gain hands-on experience in a global technology company.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Map current workflows across sales, marketing, and operations within IQX, and identify opportunities to simplify or automate
• Build and refine internal tools such as templates, dashboards, and lightweight applications that improve daily efficiency
• Explore and apply AI tools, for example Claude, Copilot, and similar assistants, to support content creation, research, and analysis
• Develop and maintain prompt libraries, playbooks, and how-to guides so the team can adopt new tools quickly
• Support automation of repetitive tasks using available platforms such as Power Automate, Claude or other AI tools
• Help structure data, documents, and knowledge so the team can find what they need faster
• Partner with team members on pilot projects, measure impact, and iterate based on feedback
• Stay close to emerging tools and ways of working, and share recommendations with the team

Your profile

You are currently enrolled in a relevant study program, for example within engineering, computer science, technology management, business administration, or information systems. Further, we expect that you are:

• Curious about technology and genuinely interested in how AI and automation can change the way teams work
• Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Comfortable working with PowerPoint, Excel, and modern productivity tools
• Practical and outcome-focused, with a bias toward shipping useful improvements rather than waiting for perfect solutions
• Able to work independently while collaborating closely with others

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience with AI assistants, prompt engineering, or no-code and low-code platforms
• Have some background in scripting (Python, JavaScript) or data tools (SQL, Power BI)
• Have worked on process improvement, internal tooling, or productivity projects in a previous role or study setting
• Have an interest in SaaS, commercial operations, or scalable business models

Practical Information

• Part-time student employment alongside your studies, 10 to 15 hours per week
• Hourly wage according to FOSS student guidelines
