At FOSS, we are driven by a strong sense of purpose—and we hope you are too. Global food production is expected to increase by 60% by 2050 to meet the needs of a growing population. Our mission is to help food and agricultural companies worldwide meet this demand without compromising sustainability.
To support this exciting journey, we are looking for a Group Controller to join our Group Control team within the Finance function. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping financial strategy and ensuring robust control processes that enable FOSS to deliver on purpose.
You will work onsite at our head office in Hillerød Denmark. It is part of our DNA to always strive to become even better at what we do. Being FIRST is one of our core values, because it is both rewarding and fun.
What you will be doing
As a Group Controller, you will be an integral part of our Group Control team, working alongside four dedicated colleagues. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth ambitions of the business by creating standardized financial processes in a global setting and a high level of financial insight by developing and aligning the transactional accounting, controlling, statutory and tax reporting processes.
The team is responsible for consolidation of reporting entities, maintaining the control framework, regional control of sales entities, transfer pricing, and overall accounting policies.
In this role, you will contribute to ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and help drive continuous improvements in processes and controls. You will work closely with the Head of Group Control and collaborate with international teams to support FOSS’s global operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Owning parts of the control process across the group, working with local teams to ensure compliance with group accounting standards and policies
- Driving internal audits and country visits to ensure compliance with our internal processes
- Taking a key role in delivering monthly reporting within your area of responsibility
- Driving the further integration of OneStream as our core consolidation system
- Taking a central role in preparing the group annual report, including reconciliations and working with external auditors
- Working with colleagues and advisors on tax and transfer pricing documentation
- Ensuring compliance with Danish GAAP (ÅRL), local GAAP, and IFRS
- Developing and maintaining robust internal controls and driving process improvements
What we hope to see you bring
We are looking for a finance professional with international experience, ideally from group-level consolidation. Here is what we hope you bring:
- You have around 7 + years of experience from a corporate environment, working in finance or controlling
- Ideally, you also have audit experience, from a Big Four firm or elsewhere
- You have worked with internal controls and compliance
- You have good knowledge of international tax, transfer pricing, and Danish GAAP (ÅRL)
- You are strong in MS Office, and knowing SAP or OneStream is a plus
- You enjoy using AI tools in your daily work, for example for analysis, reporting, or automating processes
- You like improving processes and finding smarter ways of working
- You are happy to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details, while still keeping the bigger picture in mind
- You are curious and not afraid to challenge how things are done today
- You stay calm and keep an eye for detail, even when things get busy
- You have a degree in finance, such as a Bachelor's or HD
- You communicate well in English, and Danish is a plus
Personal attributes
- You are a person with strong personal drive and a proactive mindset.
- You are thorough and possess excellent collaboration skills, enabling you to build strong professional relationships.
- You maintain a positive, can-do attitude and take pride in communicating your expertise clearly to stakeholders and colleagues.
- You thrive in an environment where we challenge the status quo while having a clear focus on our end goals.
- You have a natural curiosity and an interest in technical details, which is essential given the complexity of our products.
