Being a Service Director at FOSS South East Asia means having the opportunity to make a real and positive impact — leading a skilled team of service engineers, service coordinators and applications specialists, and supporting some of the most exciting technologies in the industry, including NIR, FTIR, X-Ray and Flow. Together, we continuously aim to go beyond customer expectations through remote support, on-site maintenance, urgent interventions, and whatever other service needs arise.
This is a leadership role within a global, family-owned company that, for nearly 70 years, has remained committed to supporting the sustainable use of our planet’s agricultural resources — in partnership with the world’s leading food and agriculture businesses.
We’re looking for a leader ready to take our service team in Thailand to the next level. As Service Director, you’ll have the opportunity to truly make a difference. Does that sound interesting? Then read on.
About Us
FOSS South East Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary of FOSS, has played a key role in the Asia region for several years and holds a leading market position. As Service Director, you’ll be based at our Bangkok office, with regular travel for customer visits and business meetings.
Joining FOSS and FOSS South East Asia means becoming part of a fast-paced, international and collaborative culture, where we work closely together to meet our customers’ evolving needs.
An Exciting Challenge
This is a unique opportunity to lead a growing organisation committed to delivering outstanding service and innovation. At FOSS South East Asia, we pride ourselves on our adaptability, technical excellence and strong customer focus.
As Service Director, you’ll lead a highly capable team of service engineers, service coordinators and applications specialists. Reporting to the VP for Service, Asia Pacific, you’ll be part of the local management team alongside the Managing Director and Financial Controller, and you’ll collaborate with global colleagues at FOSS headquarters in Denmark.
Key Responsibilities
As Service Director, you’ll lead and develop the Thailand service business, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, employee engagement and operational excellence. You’ll be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience at every touchpoint — whether through remote support, on-site visits or any other service engagement.
You’ll work closely with our Sales team to identify and support service opportunities that add value for our customers and strengthen long-term relationships, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the service business.
You’ll also own the service department’s operating budget, with responsibility for cost control, resource planning and meeting financial targets. Prior experience with budget ownership and commercial decision-making is essential.
To deliver timely and effective installations, preventive maintenance and repairs, you’ll need to be a hands-on leader, a strategic thinker and a strong collaborator with both local and regional stakeholders. You’ll monitor and deliver on key service KPIs, ensuring service orders are completed accurately and efficiently. Most importantly, you’ll be an inspiring manager who develops your team’s competencies and engagement.
Who Are You?
If you can say “yes” to the following, we’d like to hear from you:
- You’re a people leader who leads by example and thrives on motivating teams to exceed expectations. You have at least 5 years of leadership experience, ideally within service operations.
- You bring a structured, analytical mindset and are comfortable navigating a complex organisation. You know how to balance customer satisfaction, employee engagement and operational efficiency, and you have strong business acumen with a proven track record of driving results.
- You communicate clearly and can confidently engage with customers, employees and peers at all levels in a technical environment. Your hands-on approach and technical insight allow you to lead credibly.
- You have experience with LEAN principles and bring a mindset of continuous improvement, efficiency and standardisation to your leadership.
- You speak and write Thai and English to a high standard.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field is expected. However, your values, experience and leadership capability are what matter most.
