AGRAVIS Group is a prominent player in the grain industry. With a large-scale operation and modern facilities, they handle approx. 350,000 tonnes of grain and oil seeds in the Fürstenwalde site each year and boast an impressive storage capacity of 280,000 tonnes of grain and oil seeds.
To ensure product quality and safety, AGRAVIS conducts meticulous examination in their laboratory. Corn and wheat undergo examination for mycotoxins – harmful substances that can contaminate grains. The detection is a significant factor for AGRAVIS as it aids in determining which grains can be utilized for different purposes. In compliance with the European Union regulations, any delivery that exceeds the specified limits for mycotoxin content must be rejected and sent back.
AGRAVIS utilizes advanced technology to detect mycotoxins. Automated technology surpasses conventional methods in terms of speed and reliability, and by incorporating cutting-edge technology, they can determine up to six mycotoxins and process approx. 4,000 samples annually.
The implementation of automated mycotoxin analysis has drastically reduced sample processing time for AGRAVIS, eliminating the need for manual intervention. It has streamlined operations, affording the team more time and resources to focus on other critical tasks.
