The job
Would you like to be part of our Incomming Quality Inspection (IQC) team?
Reporting to the Director of Production Support , you will be part part of the strong Production Support team of total 9 members, hereof 3 in IQC.
As our new Quality Control Engineer, you help ensure that the quality of our items matches our specifications and thus ensure the highest quality of our instruments. As a department, we care about quality, a good community, unity and providing good and fast support to the rest of the business. In addition to your colleagues in Production Support, you will work closely with Production and Logistics, R&D (Research & Development), NPI (New Product Introduction) and external suppliers. This means that you face a dynamic everyday life, where the focus can quickly shift when a colleague needs your help.
Primary task
Overall, you will work within workshop technical metrology, control, validation and evaluation. More specifically, you will work with:
- Incomming control of incoming items for inspection (control via specifications, drawings etc.). The inspection can be by use various measuring tools as well as visual control and in case of deviations, preparation of fault reports for deviating items.
- Programming, setup and operating our 3D-CMM (in Calypso, Software for 3D-CMM), including continuous calibration of probes/styli
- 3D scanning of e.g. cabinets/sheet metal parts on Zeiss 3D scanner T-SCAN CS and evaluation of results through colormapping
- Handling and control of documentation when handling ATEX goods, 3A or foodgrade items.
- Validation of items, e.g. in case of suspected errors, in connection with change of supplier or ongoing random checks.
- Support for R&D projects, e.g. in the form of preparation of measurement programs when introducing new items or assessing measurement reports
Qualifications
Are you an experienced measurement technician or craftsman with minimum 5 years of experience within measurement technology? Then you might be the right person for the job. We are looking for a technically interested and curious colleague who has the following qualifications:
- Basic 2D drawing/subject understanding
- Experienced operator and programmer of 3D-CMM (Calypso-Zeiss) and 3D scanning
- Knowledge of SAP is considered an advantage, but not a requirement
- Understanding GPS targeting is an advantage but not a requirement
- Understanding ATEX, 3A and/or foodgrade compliance is an advantage but not a requirement
Since FOSS is a global organization, and our daily interaction in production is in Danish, it is a prerequisite that you are fluent both in English and Danish.
Personal skills
As a person, you are quick to learn, data-driven and quality-focused.
You are used to handle many different tasks during a workday, and can easily go from one task to another.
As you work with many different colleagues in the FOSS organization, good communication skills are also important.
