You will help develop an interesting and strategically important business area
As our new Industry Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing the business and sales of the FOSS solutions in Dairy industry. You will sell top of class instrumentation to food production, food processing and agricultural accounts on the west half of France, reporting to the Dairy sales coordinator France. This includes to:
- Be responsible for overall sales performance in the territory with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Create sales strategies for each account and manage territory plans including measurable goals, dollars by product line, and timetable for actions
- Work on the acquisition of new customers by conducting market observation and market planning as well as the technical development of the company's products and services
- Participate in trade shows and travel to cover your territory
You will also help make sure that FOSS remains the front runner in analytical solutions by providing input to marketing/sales with respect to competition and competitive pricing including products, applications, new product development etc.
Lastly you will help keep our pipeline records updated and accurate with respect to prospects, pre-implementation planning/proposal preparation, sales calls, quotations, pricing, etc., using our CRM (SalesForce) system.
Are you an experienced sales professional?
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you are an ambitious person, motivated by identifying and seizing new sales opportunities. You know that targets are best achieved by being with your customers and by knowing your customers’ business in depth.
Our ideal candidate comes with 2-5 years of experience in a B2B sales role. Experience in sales of technical products that require explanation (e.g., wet chemistry /spectroscopy/NIR analysis) and/or sales experience from Dairy industry is a great plus. We work with cross-selling and Value Based Selling where we focus on benefits and profit enhancement in our proposition rather than selling on price alone. You use your technical and organizational knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the FOSS products/services to their needs. Obviously having full driving license.
You know most of the relevant functions in the Microsoft Office suite applications such as PowerPoint and Excel since this will be an asset to prepare proposals and presentations. In addition, you have effective verbal and communication skills that make your presentations stand out mainly in French, working language (secondary in English).
