We are looking for an ambitious Vice President (VP) to join our service organization.

This is a unique opportunity to join and develop the leading global provider of analytics for the food and agricultural industries. Together with your 7 Service Directors, you will help set the future direction, ensuring industry leading quality in our Service offerings and superior customer satisfaction in the Asia & Pacific region. 

Leading ASIA & PAC Service to the next level

You will become responsible for Service across Australia, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and the distributors in the region. We expect you to build a tight dream team with the regional Service Management Team

You will lead the implementation of the strategy for Service in the region and align processes and structure to the global standard.

Other responsibilities include:

• Optimize and further develop well performing Service teams and their customer satisfaction
• Speed up the technical capability journey we have initiated
• Drive regional strategic projects
• Build strong partnership with FOSS’ distributors and existing customers 

Your future team 

You will refer directly to the Senior Vice President of Service, QA, Product Management & IT, and work closely with the VP of Sales in the region. 

You will be part of FOSS’ global Service Leadership team where you have frequent interactions and benefit from your colleagues’ expertise and business insights. 

The FOSS service organization engages more than 360 dedicated colleagues globally, of this 63 people (42 employees in ASIA and 21 in PAC) will belong to your organization. Most of the employees are skilled Service engineers, Service Coordinators and application specialists. You will have 7 direct reports - each responsible for the Service organization in their respective country. 

You are a seasoned executive that can direct the service organization towards our strategic goals

You know how to add value to the business by implementing innovative and effective solutions, that can help set the standard for future local Service processes. To succeed we imagine that you have: 

• A MSc or BSc in Engineering
• Acquired strong business acumen from working with Service and strategy in an ASIA regional context for min. 5 years
• A strong managerial toolbox from managing leaders who are based remotely
• Excellent communication and presentation skills that can cater to several different stakeholders on all levels

On a personal level you are energetic, have high integrity and meet people with trust. You are an analytical and strategic thinker, which enables you to drive change and achieve results in a complex and international environment. You are technically minded and skilled in training others. You are motivated by building teams and seeing your team members succeed. 

Your base will be our Melbourne-office – but with frequent visits to your other Service subsidiaries in the region. Expect approx. 80- 100 travel days per year – mostly within the region.
