The job

As our new Senior Legal Counsel, you will be part of a highly motivated and dynamic Global Legal & Corporate Compliance team, which currently consist of 6 specialist team members. We are organized as part of the CFO areas with direct reference to our CFO.

You will be responsible for taking a proactive lead to further strengthen Global Legal & Corporate Compliance in FOSS. You will do this by ensuring best in class advise to various colleagues across the organization. With your strong drive, improvement mind-set and ability to think out of the box, you are ready to help shape the future of Legal & Corporate Compliance at FOSS.


  • Act as a trusted advisor to various departments and stakeholders at all levels across FOSS globally, making sure that Global Legal & Corporate Compliance is seen as an impactful and value-adding partner. FOSS is operating globally with affiliates in more than 30 countries
  • Deliver on strategic priorities of Global Legal & Corporate Compliance aligned with the overall FOSS strategy
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements within all business areas such as collaboration agreements, SaaS agreements, license agreements, research & development agreements, manufacturing agreements, master services agreements, key account agreements and product purchase/supply chain agreements
  • Providing general legal advice to management and business units
  • Maintaining, developing and implementing standardized contracting practices
  • Ensure proper training and awareness of key legal and compliance related topics to relevant colleagues across FOSS
  • Identify, analyse and recommend compliance and risk improvements within e.g. export control, GDPR/data privacy and security in general



To succeed in the role as the Senior Legal Counsel we prefer the following: 

  • You hold a Master of Law (cand.jur.)
  • You have a minimum of 5-6 years experience  practitioning  as in-house legal counsel or as an attorney at a larger law firm
  • You posses strong knowledge and experience within commercial and corporate law and negotiations of contracts - if you also have experience with IT-contracts, SaaS and M&A it is an extra asset
  • You have some knowledge about GDPR and possibly other corporate compliance disciplines as well (e.g. security compliance, enterprise risk management, insurance programs, whistleblowing and export control)
  • You speak and write Danish and English fluently.
