We are looking for two new Site Reliability Engineers (SRE’s) to join our newly established business division, focusing entirely on new software solutions to strengthen the digitalization across the supply chain of the thousands of food companies that FOSS already works closely with.

We are part of the FOSS group, but have 100% focus on delivering software services to food and agri customers around the world. We supply the majority of the TOP100 Food companies in the world with analytical solutions and digital services, but our ambitions reach further. Our vision is “Feeding food value chains with trust, quality and insights”. For over 30 years, data science has been at the heart of driving the accuracy, speed and convenience of our analytical solutions. The new offerings from FSS will expand the range of insights, reporting services and decision support tools we provide for our customers.  

We are scaling our already existing development organization to enable more effective software operations

We believe in objective data driven software operations. This is why we want to mature our Operations engagement to the next level and establish a Site Reliability Engineering team.  We are therefore looking for two experienced Site Reliability Engineers, to help ensuring that our services are running in both a scalable and reliable way. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with both Developers, Operations Engineers and Support Specialists, in order to establish and continuously keep the system operating within a well-defined error budget.

The Site Reliability Engineers play a pivotal role in ensuring a solid, scalable, reliable and expandable backend platform, that can bring life to our vision of feeding food value chains with trust, quality and insights

Your work location will be our development centre in Warsaw, and you will be a member of the Operations & SRE Team, distributed between Hillerød (Denmark) and Warsaw (Poland). You will also be working closely with both frontend and backend development teams in Hillerød, Copenhagen, Warsaw and St. Petersburg. Your primary responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing the applications by Service Level Indicators (SLI) and Service Level Objectives (SLO)
  • Error logs analysis and troubleshooting difficult cases
  • Dashboards & reports generation and capacity planning of the deployed resources
  • Creating and extending tools for monitoring and alerting as well as work on solutions that can eliminate toil
  • Actively monitoring the health of the entire system in depth and proactive take action on the most critical parts

 What you bring to the table  

The ideal candidate has a solid technical background within software development with a big interest in also bringing cloud solutions all the way to the customers without interruptions. You would have min. 3 years of experience working in SRE/DevOps area and working with Azure. The ideal candidate likes to work with the tooling and automation required to deliver a professional operation and strong hands-on experience in solving complex problems. You speak and write English fluently, as it s our corporate language.

You like a workday that changes from solving short-term technical problems over proactively monitoring the situation to considering the longer term trend and long term actions. You enjoy being in the operations centre, where things can be hectic at times, but where we strive to remain calm and stay in control ahead of any issues. You are self-driven with the ability to take the ownership to solve challenges and deliver end to end solutions.
