Welcome to FOSS India, a team-based and family-like work environment that consists of people committed to FOSS and to each other. An exciting challenge

You will be leading a team of skilled and dedicated people ( field service engineers, application specialist and service coordinator), who strive to provide a world class service to our customers on a daily basis, while reporting to the VP for Service, Asia.

You will be part of the local India senior management team including the General Manager and the Financial Controller, who work in close partnership regarding the day-to-day business.

On a daily basis

We aim to meet our customers’ needs for global analytics by providing fast and customer focused installation, preventive maintenance, and breakdown services. As Service Manager, you will be driving implementation of the Service global strategy in the Indian local market, and aligning systems and structure to the FOSS global standard.

To do so, you will be collaborating with our local sales and admin teams on a daily basis.

You will monitor and fulfill various Service KPI’s and we expect you to be an inspiring manager, leading & motivating your team, increasing employee satisfaction and improving the team’s competences.

Your role and responsibilities:

-          Planning and review, ensuring operational excellence in all business activities.

-          Monitoring service activities, to maintain the highest levels of service and customer satisfaction.

-          Training and development of the service team, to ensure service has required competencies to support the our customers and distributors.

-          Development of service processes and procedures to ensure consistent quality in service.

-          Distributor operations management, to ensure our partners are able to provide high levels of service to their customers.

-          People management, developing hard and soft skills as needed while maintaining high levels of employee engagement

-          Compliance with corporate guidelines.

-          Cross functional cooperation.

What you bring to the table

You thrive with motivating your team to exceed expectations of customers and the other stakeholders around you, and come with at least 5 years management experience. Ideally, you come with experience within a service team of an international company.

You have a high level of structure and work systematically to achieve results: you know how to navigate a complex organisation where a balance should be found between employee and customer satisfaction, and the continued efficiency of your team. You possess a strong business understanding and a proven track record of optimizing organizations and driving results.

You know how to communicate clearly with customers, employees and managers on the different levels in a technical environment, and have a technical “hands on” attitude, which is key for this role.

You are driven toward customer satisfaction, without compromising business objectives

People describe you as a strong leader who is able to develop staff and work in collaboration with colleagues at all levels, with a demonstrated ability to manage teams through inspirational leadership

You speak and write English at an advanced level and will thrive in FOSS´ international atmosphere, where English is the business language.

You may be the right fit if you possess:

-          Degree in engineering, or similar

-          Minimum 5 years experience managing a service team, ideally in field service

-          A passion for continuous improvement

-          A strategic mind with an ability to make plans and action them

-          A hands on attitude and commitment to excellence

-          Strong communication skills

-          Willingness to travel

-          Chemistry experience an advantage
