The R&D software department at our HQ near Copenhagen consists of more than 100 software developers and makes up for about 1/3 of the whole R&D organization at FOSS. Our SW department is responsible for developing innovative software solutions in excellent quality using the latest technologies for our analytical instruments, and therefore has a significant contribution to the success of our new product launches. You will have the unique opportunity to be part of the first software team in our new software department and ensure we have a successful establishment of our software department at Soft Flow. The new department will work closely together with HQ on interdisciplinary projects where we integrate advanced technologies and software into our products.
The product owner is part of the early phases of the development project where customer workflows, requirements and features are being discussed. This allows the PO to support the development team with clarification of requirements or feature designs.
Your primary tasks will involve:
- Running projects using Scrum methods, collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders in Denmark and Hungary
- Delivering a clear vision of the solution and making sure that the team is developing the right solution that maximize business value
- Prioritizing the features of the solution, manage the backlog items
- Ensuring that all features / backlog items contains detailed requirement specification and has a corresponding accept criteria documented in Azure DevOps
- Defining the features and drives the specification of the solution requirements.
- Design wireframes, layout for the user interface
- Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed (Clarifying all the questions related to the requirements raised during the development and testing)
- Reviewing the implemented solution and give detailed feedbacks to developers (testers)
- Share the risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies with the stakeholders
For this we will provide proper training and introduction to our platforms, how instruments are developed and insight into the specific instrument requirements and specifications. We further expect you to work in an open and transparent fashion in a cross-boarding collaboration between the new team in Pecs and software development at HQ. Our solutions are implemented using different programming languages ranging from Angular web UI over C# using .Net Core for backend and business logic to C++ in our embedded SW. Your daily work will be at Soft Flow in Pécs, Hungary. However, it is expected that you will have 5-15 travelling days per year to Denmark.
- Knowledge of Agile development and Scrum
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in software development projects
- Experience with wireframe, ticketing and work item management tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good command of English
It is an advantage if you have:
- Azure DevOps knowledge
- Familiarity with Web-based development and Azure applications
- You are a team player, and knows the difference between working in a team and working as a team
