Then this is your opportunity, as our current General Manager is returning to FOSS Denmark.
As our new General Manager, you will be leading one of currently two production facilities for our growing business. Based in Suzhou, China, with direct reference to our Senior Vice President for Quality, Production & Supply Chain and as part of the Q&PSC management team, you will head an organisation of app. 180 employees. You will be overall responsible for an interesting and diverse operation, working on a broad variety of areas covering production, quality, finance, logistics, sourcing and product engineering.
As an enthusiastic leader, you will set the future direction for our production site, fostering motivation and cooperation, while continuously developing the organization. You will do this in close collaboration – and across organizational boarders – together with departments in FOSS Denmark (R&D, PE, QA, Production, Sourcing, Logistics), suppliers and other stakeholders.
As our new General Manager you will:
- Exercise inspirational leadership
- Ensure close coordination and cooperation with global functions
- Secure ontime delivery of quality products
- Continue our development based on lean principles and data
- Ensure continuous improvements throughout the value chain
We are looking for a mature leader with extensive operational knowhow, preferably with previous experience of living abroad with your family. To succeed as General Manager, we expect you to have an academic educational background – probably within engineering. You have solid leadership experience, including experience leading through leaders as well as experience running a production facility in a lean environment with a high level of technical complexity. It is equally important that you have a strong business understanding and experience in how to engage and motivate an organization.
As you will be heading a site covering many business areas, we expect you to have insight on how to run a full operation with all operational and support functions/departments.
Lastly, it is a prerequisite that you speak and write both Danish and English.
With the overall aim of continuously developing the organization, you are an ambitious, committed and passionate leader with focus on both quality and results. You promote cooperation and ongoing communication, and identify yourself with values such as honesty, accountability and integrity.
Since you will collaborate with a large number of stakeholders across multiple functional areas, both locally in Suzhou and across borders, and most notably with colleagues in FOSS Denmark, it is crucial that you are open-minded and a good networker. You have outstanding collaborative skills and are culturally curious, wanting to merge the best from Danish and Chinese cultures.
