Department Manager - Reagent Manufacturing and Service Operations

 

The Job

Production supervision of intermediate bulk reagent batches and final products for multiplex assays, according to specifications in compliance with the production technology. Continuous improvement of the production processes. Maintain a logistic setup for reagent shipments worldwide.

Supervison of the internal reference laboratory and quality control procedures.

Supervison of the laboratory operations and maintenance procedures, including safety and lab permissions.

Primary Tasks

  • Use and organize conjugational chemistry methods to bind various macromolecules (antibodies, proteins, nucleic acids, etc.) to solid phase carriers.
  • Preparation of flourochrome conjugates (IgG-FITC, -PE, etc.).
  • Production of food safety analytical kits, and multiplex microanalytical assay reagents.
  • Perform quality control bioanalytical measurements (ELISA, flow cytometry, gel electrophoresis, etc.).
  • Build up and maintain an ISO 17025 compliant internal reference laboratory for various matrices.
  • Work according to ISO-9001:2015 standards, and prepare documentation in compliance with "Good Laboratory and Manufacturing Practices".
  • Inventory of chemicals and tools needed to carry out laboratory work.
  • Control the logistic setup between Hungary and Denmark, and build a team that is capable of handling worldwide reagent logistic tasks.
  • Effective and excellent collaboration with research staff.
  • Continuous study of available literature for the development in methodology.
  • Directs production workers and supervises the defined production process to ensure that the desired product yield is achieved.
  • Utilizes the technical expertise on the manufacturing processes and machine operations.
  • Records deviations and incidents, control changes and coordinate with QA and QC team for reports.
  • Provides feedback to the production team and assist in developing new methods to work in a more efficient manner.
  • Maintain the laboratory order and maintenance procedures for all Soft Flow laboratories.

What is expected of the candidate

  • Proven experience in laboratory management
  • MSc in Life Sciences
  • Experience in synthesizing crosslinking reagents
  • Experience with GMP/GLP compliant documentation

  • Very good communication skills
  • Good oral and written communication skill level in English
