Product Specialist with mycotoxin experience

We are looking for an experienced Product Specialist with mycotoxin experience and technical flair to support FOSS’s activities within Food Safety.
Purpose of the position
You will be giving expert knowledge from a scientific point of view to the business area of mycotoxin analysis within agriculture, food- and feed production. You will also be driving the mycotoxin analysis awareness and knowledge within the FOSS organization.
You will join a team of 14 highly skilled and dedicated people and you will report to Head of Product Management.
Your daily work place will be FOSS Innovation Centre, Hillerød, Denmark, with frequent domestic and overseas travels to global sales subsidiaries, global relevant conferences, distributors and customer locations. You can expect on average 20 travel days per year.
You will drive the awareness and knowledge of mycotoxin analysis inside FOSS and be the center of mycotoxin knowledge within the FOSS organization:
- Understanding mycotoxins in scientific terms.
- Knowing mycotoxin prevalence and testing practices.
- Collecting and sharing mycotoxin related information internally.
We also expect you to drive and conduct studies within mycotoxin analysis, internally or together with external partners. This includes study- and data collection design, data analysis and interpretation and finally communication of results. Write white papers and scientific articles.
You understand and communicate the customer’s pains and gains in mycotoxin testing. Obtaining and sharing pains within general feed and food safety.
You establish a FOSS mycotoxin specialist group of local application specialists:
- Ensuring local knowledge of mycotoxins and mycotoxin analysis.
- Arranging regular meetings for sharing latest knowledge and learnings from markets.
You will participate and give presentations at international exhibitions and forums, as well as establish contacts to key opinion leaders and universities within the field of mycotoxin analysis.
You will participate in regulatory board work (ISO, AOAC and similar).
Ideally, you hold a PhD, or a MSc within the biochemistry or analytical chemistry field. Our ideal candidate has deep insights within quality control of grain, food and feed products.
You have proven track record in writing scientific articles, and a strong network among and access to key opinion leaders in industry.
You have a strategic, commercial as well as an academic mind-set, as well as strong presentation and communication skills.
You have an academic as well as practice-oriented communication approach, and good collaborative and decision-making skills.
You know how to adress complex tasks within the company, and how to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve objectives. You take initiative and are responsive to other views.
People describe you as a solution oriented person, who is effective at handling project showstoppers and at securing of progress.
