At FOSS, we have many new exciting projects in the pipeline that require world-class software solutions. That is why we are establishing a new software department at our subsidiary SoftFlow, in Pécs Hungary.
The R&D software department at our HQ near Copenhagen consists of more than a 100 software developer and makes up for about 1/3 of the whole R&D organization at FOSS. You will have the unique opportunity to establish and be in charge of a new software department and will report directly the R&D VP for software. The new department will work closely together with HQ on interdisciplinary projects where we integrate advanced technologies and software into our products.
The SW department is responsible for developing software for our analytical instruments, and therefore has a significant contribution to the success of our new product launches.
You will have two primary roles:
- Scrum master, where you will own the Scrum framework, i.e. facilitate the Scrum ceremonies, address impediments and work with the team as coach
- Software developer, where you will implement PC and/or embedded software for our analytical instruments
The balance between the two roles will be approximately 75% software developer and 25% scrum master.
Your daily work will be at the Soft Flow in Pécs, where you will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled colleagues in strong teams on exciting projects with advanced technologies.
In your role as scrum master, you will:
- be scrum master for a development team of 3-4 people
- work with the product owner to ensure high-quality, solid and predictable deliveries
- maintain overview of Epics, features and PBIs in the backlog – do forecasting, etc.
In your role as software developer, you will - depending on your skills and areas of interest:
- design new features together with product owner, product specialists and other stakeholders
- implement features in React and/or Angular
- implement features in C#
- ensure (unit) test and documentation of your work
- Skilled software engineer or computer scientist BSc or MSc in computer science or similar
- Front end development experience using React and/or Angular
- Experience with C#
- Experience with Scrum development
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Solid skills in verbal and written English and Hungarian language
- Experience with Linux is considered a plus, but not a requirement
