For our Headquarter in Hillerød, we are looking for an experienced Business Controller to join our Finance team. You will help us to both develop and continue our strong financial and Business controlling of operations in FOSS.
The team of Controllers performs reporting, analysis, Internal Audits and are involved in process optimization within the FOSS group. The team is also involved in projects like new operations facilities as well as optimizing existing operations. The Controller team plays an important role in the FOSS group’s growth in the coming years.
As a Business Controller, you will be part of the Finance Operations and Support team in FOSS, which has responsibility for all financial operations (shared Financial service center), Business Support/Controlling tasks and Indirect Procurement department in the FOSS group. The job as Business Controller will be part of the Business Support team where the main partner is Production & Supply Chain (P&SC) and R&D. The FOSS group has two modern production sites in Hillerød (DK) and Suzhou (CHN) which produces all instruments and spareparts for the FOSS group worldwide. In addition, FOSS is in the process of extending its capacity by building a new R&D and Production site in Pécs, Hungary. P&SC includes also Global Logistics and Global Sourcing in the FOSS group – which is also part of the Business Support scope.
The primary location will be at the FOSS Innovation Centre in Hillerød, but the job requires app. 10-15 days a year of travelling. The position will report to Senior Manager Finance.
- You will work with Month end, year end and budget processes including controlling and reporting of P&L and Balance sheet data, deviations explanations and KPI reports.
- Internal Audit of our production sites where processes are in focus
- Support Transfer Price documentation and Policy
- Analysis of P&SC processes as well challenging existing procedures will be very important among the tasks within this position. Examples of such analysis would be related to efficiency, obsolescence, scrap, purchasing, freight and price deviations.
- One of the main tasks for the new Business Controller will be managing the costing process in the FOSS group, both bi-annually costing and costing simulation performed on a monthly basis. Various financial Ad-hoc propositions and analysis work following the development of the group.
You have a Master’s degree in Economics or similar, and minimum 5 years of experience from preferably a manufacturing company. You have a strong business acumen and interest in understanding the drivers behind processes and procedures in a company. We expect you to have an excellent toolbox of analytical and communication skills. You are expected to be fluent in English.
The ability to build positive relations and communicate clearly to stakeholders throughout the organization is very important to succeed in the job. You are able to take the lead, voice your opinion and challenge in constructive ways.
You must be confident in your own ability to move projects and tasks forward and deal with hurdles along the way. You thrive with responsibility and have a talent for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You work systematically and structured, and are able to deliver on time with multiple task/projects.
