The job

Would you like to assist the Market Management team on a strategic project doing market research, data collection, and analyses?

FOSS gives you the unique possibility to join the Market Management department at FOSS, and experience making key strategic decision in the “real business world”.

During your project, you will be part of the global Market Management team.

The team is responsible for strategy, product management, segment management and market and management support.

The department consists of a strong team of colleagues, who are each responsible for a specific segment, all working in close cooperation with Research & Development, Business Development, and Group Management.

Your project will be within the Meat segment.

You will be referring directly to the Meat Market Manager, who is responsible globally for the overall strategy and deliverables of FOSS´ Meat Segment analytical solutions.

The working place will be at headquarters in Hillerød, but with the flexibility to work from home. Furthermore, exam periods are respected.

 Please note that this is an unpaid internship.


Primary tasks  

You will have responsibility of making a market analysis of the Meat market in Latin American countries, finalized at creating a solid “go to market plan” together with the Meat Market Manager.

This analysis includes market sizing, mapping & segmentation of the meat companies and determining the financial state and investment climate of the meat industry.

You will also have to analyze the key meat companies in the countries and evaluate the business opportunities for FOSS within these.

You will need to understand the production methodologies for various types of meat products and make an evaluation of key customer challenges against the benefits provided by FOSS´ analytical solutions.

For this task you will be expected to visit some of these meat companies.

FOSS has a flat organizational structure, thus, you will have access to many top stakeholders in FOSS.



The preferred candidate is on the final year of a bachelor degree or on the first year of a master degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering with a business perspective.

You have an analytical mind combined with a strong commercial understanding and you are confident with information and data gathering.

Experience with Excel is required, and PowerPoint competences are an advantage.

We expect you to have a high degree of integrity and professionalism and the ability to work with a variety of personalities and styles, as well as a structured work approach.

Fluency in English is a prerequisite, whereas Danish is preferable.

You are analytically strong, work independent, like a challenge, and capable of taking responsibility for your own assignments and meet deadlines.

We expect you to have strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbally, and to be talented at building strong relationships both internally and externally, as you will be in contact with existing as well as new customers.

You act as a self-starter and multi-tasker, with a capacity to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Finally, technological interest is needed to link market strategies with commercial solutions.
