Food Analytics Conference 2020

on Analytical Technologies for Food Quality and Sustainable Food Production

Due to the present circumstances around the world and the continued spread of COVID-19, the Nils Foss Excellence Prize committee has decided to cancel this year’s prize award scheduled for November. The new Food Analytics Conference, which was set to launch in connection to the prizes, will also be cancelled this year.


The conference is the first of its kind and focus is on research leading to significant breakthroughs in the application of analytical technologies that leads to improvements in sustainability, quality and safety in food production.

Food Analytics Conference will be a full day conference with presentations for which abstracts are invited. See Call for Papers.



The conference is hosted by FOSS and following the conference, the Nils Foss Excellence Prize of 100,000 EUR will be awarded to a scientist who has demonstrated excellent innovative research within analytical technologies and thus made significant contributions in the food, feed and/or agricultural area.



Last year’s prize winners, professor David Julian McClements (University of Massachusetts) and assistant professor Qian Janice Wang (Aarhus University), will give keynote lectures at the conference.

The scientific committee will screen abstracts and the submitting authors will be notified whether their abstract has been accepted for an oral presentation.
