Join Soft Flow as a Senior/Lead C# (Backend) Developer in R&D – and be part of creating world class instruments for the agricultural industry and thus support sustainable use of our planets agricultural resources.
The job
Your primary tasks will involve:
Develop and maintain the instrument software and software platform written in C# .NET 6 (using latest technologies)
Improve and refactor existing solution to accommodate new requirements and adapt new technologies
Enhance the architecture to meet the strategic goals of the product
Extend and evolve APIs to allow easy access for external developers/systems
Create cloud applications in MS Azure platform (in certain projects)
Design, implement, test and document the solution
Deliver quality software, ensure proper test coverage, optimize performance
Collaborate with Product Owners and domain specialists (located in both Hungary & Denmark) to specify the requirements
Visualizing your work in an Agile / Scrum context
We will provide proper inhouse training and introduction to our platforms, instruments and development standards. We expect you to work in an open and transparent fashion in a cross-border collaboration between Pécs, Hungary and Hillerød, Denmark. Our solutions are implemented by combining different programming languages and latest technologies: Angular/TypeScript, C# and C++, so you will have the possibility to grow in expertise in different areas if you feel like.
Your daily work will be at Soft Flow in Pécs, Hungary with partial home office possibilities. It is expected that you will have 5-10 traveling days per year to Denmark.

What you'll need
- BSc or MSc in software engineering or computer science
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in C#/.NET development
- Solid experience with client/server development
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with .NET Core / .NET 6
- Knowledge of multiple design patterns, SOLID principles
- Experience with cloud application development
- Capability of database development (MSSQL, SQLite)
- Practical knowledge in a visual task management tool like Azure DevOps (or Jira)
Personal skills
- Team player attitude, knowing the difference between working in a team and working as a team
- Strong motivation to become an expert in backend or full stack development
- Ability to understand complex solutions, as our instruments and solutions are high tech and quite complex
- Ability to see the big picture meanwhile taking care about the details
- Ability to help teams analyze and investigate issues, explore solutions, learn and reflect
- Good communication skills
- A good command of English and Hungarian (official project language is English)
